About Us
Who We are
Serenity Music Ministries is a 501(c)(3) organization operating under the authority of Broadview Heights Baptist Church in Broadview Heights, Ohio.
Our mission is simple: we want to provide inspiration and training for the next generation of Baptist church musicians who seek to use their God-given gifts for their local congregations. Our goal is to teach traditional sacred music on traditional orchestral instruments, such as piano and violin, for use in church services. We also plan to offer voice and choir instruction in the coming years, God willing.

If you are trying to get to Carnegie Hall - there are plenty of programs out there that will help you pursue that dream. If you want to bless others and support your local church, we can help you.

What We Do
Serenity Music Ministries is currently divided into two branches: the Serenity Chamber Players (SCP) and the Serenity Music Institute (SMI).

The SCP was originally founded in 2017 as an outreach performance group that provides free concerts for Baptist churches seeking to engage their communities. SCP has performed over 25 concerts in 4 states, and all members of the ensemble are members of Broadview Heights Baptist Church.

SMI is set to launch officially on September 15, 2025 to be the training wing of the organization. We plan to offer affordable piano lessons to church members across Northeast Ohio during our first year, and eventually expand to offer violin, cello and voice lessons by 2026.
What we Need
Our plan is to partially cover the operating costs of Serenity Music Ministries through donations for lessons. The minimum suggested donation for a 30 minute piano lesson is $10 for church members and $20 for non-church members. Group strings lessons are also planned to be offered for $5 per week per participant for 1 hour of instruction. Additional donations will be accepted and appreciated. The rest of our budget will be based on the giving and support of like-minded Christians and churches.
Our first year operating budget will is $52,000. This includes paying for a full time piano teacher (who will be a qualified instructor and a member of Broadview Heights Baptist Church) and covering administrative expenses for the organization. Please see our "Support SMM" page for more information on how to get involved.
